Brief Biography

An individual of many skills and abilities:

Lucky Moyo is an arts practitioner and, an arts lobbyist, event manager, producer, director, singer, songwriter, voice coach and workshop leader. Lucky does not only manage tours/projects and events but also gets involved in the designing, planning and implementation, including monitoring and evaluation of various projects.

The past 18 years have seen Lucky being called on to visit 30 countries around the world to perform to audiences varying in capacity between 10 and 50,000! He has shared stages with the likes of Jimmy Cliff, Peter Gabriel, Naughty by Nature and performed for such dignitaries as Nelson Mandela and HM Queen Elizabeth II. He has appeared on such programmes as Blue Peter, Later with Jools Holland, prime time on City TV-Toronto and venues such as JFK Centre in Washington DC, Opera de Paris and Ronnie Scotts.

For Lucky, the process of sharing is the real driving force and at the core of all his work. With this in mind, Lucky works in a variety of settings which includes; schools, universities, community centres, theatres, reformatories, prisons and, increasingly arts-based training with staff of various organisations on issues to do with team work, cross cultural awareness and cross generation awareness.

Lucky is a firm believer in the role of music beyond just entertainment. He passionately, argues for music as a vehicle/medium for change, communication, dialogue, healing and problem solving.

Lucky is available to one off projects/residences and long term ones.
